Presentation on criminal justice made by the Shadow Secretary of State for Justice
There are some important hooks in this presentation including strengthening confidence in community sentences, committment to increasing numbers of women judges, tackling racial inequality and recognition of the importance of trauma informed practice. Some of the content certainly sounds harsh but that might be to be expected in view of the challenge ahead for the Labour Party. We will certainly be sharing our views about the importance of reducing short term prison sentences.
