This professional event, for PQIP Students, will focus on the important topics of Professional Curiosity and Professional Judgement referenced as essential by HM Inspector of Probation in relation to recent Serious Further Offence Reviews.
This event is open to all students on Professional Qualification in Probation Programmes.
SPEAKERS
Associate Professor Jake Phillips (Director of the MSt Applied Penology at the Institute of Criminology Cambridge) and Sam Ainslie, (Senior Lecturer in Criminal Justice at Sheffield Hallam University), will give a presentation based on their research in 2022 exploring Professional Curiosity in Probation Practice and the application by practitioners.
Anne Burrell, (Trustee of the Probation Institute and highly experienced Practice Teacher), will explore the meaning and application of Professional Judgement in Probation Practice.
