Inspectorate calls for urgent action as trio of London probation services rated ‘Inadequate’
We are posting this press release which refers to three HMI inspections of London PDU, and includes links to all three - Lambeth, Ealing and Hillingdon , and Hammersmith, Fulham, Kensington, Chelsea and Westminster.
It is a disappointing read. The vacancy/ absence statistics are clearly very serious and contributing considerably to the failures reported. At our Trainees Event today we focussed on the Race Equality Action Plans and on staff supervision. Some very basic stuff. Reading this it's clear that it is often the basics that are failing. We heard from some very committed trainees who felt very supported, and some who definitely did not.
