We are pleased to see the report of recent inspection of the Military Corrective Training Centre. Our imminent report on research into the life histories former armed services personnel who have committed serious offences of harm points to the need for improvements at this centre.

The report notes improvements in rehabilitation and planning for release. However it also identified an ongoing concern about lack of MAPPA oversight, monitoring or probation supervision for those released from the Military Corrections Training Centre following sexual or more serious violent offences.
