Service user Councils in the Community:
User Voice Service User Councils provide a democratic, structured and effective means by which probation service users and staff can raise their collective problems and concerns, working together to implement solutions.

Service User Councils in Custody
Within prisons, the democratic User Voice Council process is designed to provide prisoners with an opportunity to get involved with improving services and work constructively with staff. Prisoners are asked to form and run particular ‘parties’, each representing common challenges faced by prisoners and the prison system.
