The Probation Institute are pleased to be partnering with Unlock, a charity for people with convictions, to offer a 20% discount to all Probation Institute members on the one-day training that Unlock provides on criminal record disclosure.
Unlock runs a range of training to practitioners of all levels, from 4-hour masterclasses to 2-day courses. They run their training in-house for larger teams, but they host a number of training courses in London.
They’ve just released the training dates for 2016 for their popular one-day ‘Advising with Conviction’ workshop, which is endorsed by the Institute of Employability Professionals.
Savas Hadjipavlou, Chief Executive of the Probation Institute, said ‘ we are very pleased to be partnering with Unlock. We know that getting a job is a key positive factor towards rehabilitation and resettlement, and the training that Unlock provide to practitioners supports this aim, and as a professional can be counted as part of your Continuing Professional Development’
Christopher Stacey, Co-Director at Unlock, said “As experts on criminal record disclosure, we’ve run training to practitioners for many years. At a time when probation services are going through rapid change, and following a number of significant changes in disclosure legislation and practice, it’s more important now than ever to ensure that those advising or supporting people with convictions are confident and knowledgeable, so we’re pleased to be working in partnership with the Probation Institute on this”
