Trust in the Criminal Justice System
On 8th September the Probation Institute will be contributing at a consultation event which is part of the review by David Lammy MP investigating why BME individuals are over-represented at every stage of the Criminal Justice System. David Lammy will share key findings and ask what can be done to help improve trust?
We would really like to have your views on these questions. You may have contributed to the investigation , in which case please let us know what are your key messages? Please send your views to firstname.lastname@example.org
Closure of HMP Holloway
This summer the women’s prison HMP Holloway closes and the land will be sold. Hundreds more new, un-affordable homes could be built on this site, OR the government could decide to to invest in public housing, affordable homes, community facilities and women’s support services including domestic abuse and mental ill health.
Women in Prison has launched a campaign “Reclaim Holloway”
and the Prison Reform Trust has published a proposal for a women’s centre on the site
