Probation Institute publishes 2016-17 Business Plan

The Probation Institute was set up in 2014.  Two years on, substantial progress has been made, creating the structures and processes needed for a functioning professional body, developing membership and networks to support learning and continuing professional development.

Prof. Paul Senior, Chair of the Institute said: “The need for a membership body that is independent of the MoJ and employers is clearer now than ever. We have suffered compared to similar professions because we have lacked such a body. The Business Plan for 2016-17, published today, sets out how the Institute will continue to make progress, growing its visibility, its authority as a professional body, as well as its membership.

I look forward to engaging with current and new members in delivering these objectives”
